Updates, most recent first:
Update: March 30, 2020 I (Valerie) added several new photos recently contributed by friends, and a number of additional organizations to which dad (Paul Smith) would appreciate donations being made in his memory from a list he made in 2012.
Note to subscribers: Tonight (March 14th, 2020) I added images of newspaper articles about dad (Paul Smith) having made a telescope in high school, and having built the planitarium at Coe. I also added donation links to more of the organizations he was involved with.

I was an international student at Coe College from 1989 to 1992. He was not only my professor but a true mentor. It was my great fortune to have been able to work as editor for Dr. Smith’s essays while at Coe. I would not be able to survive the first couple years without his patronage and guidance. How uncanny, I have been thinking about him a lot lately and now I chanced upon the news of his demise. Thank you Dr. Smith for all that you have done for me. I feel blessed to have known
you and learnt so much from you. May you rest in peace and be remembered fondly by all who knew you.
